Video Logging – Vlog Tips On How To Make The Best Vlog
Vlogging is a pretty new word that is growing in popularity on the internet; it stands for Video Logging (Vlog for short). This is a rather new concept that is increasing in popularity where the author doesn’t write his posts in words instead they record a video that will become their posts. If you enjoy recording, editing, and sharing videos more than you would enjoy writing them out in text then you would probably be able to make a killer vlog (and the best vlog!). Getting a vlog started is quite simple; I have a few vlog tips that will help you create a successful vlog!
First of all I would suggest using WordPress with your own private hosting to run your vlog, this is because WordPress is an awesome content managing system where you will be able to add videos, pages, etc very easily. Also WordPress has thousands of themes that are made specifically for vlogs and video logging purposes. Most of these themes are free for download and are easily customized to include ads or whatever you would like. Next you need to shoot some videos to post on your vlog.
If you are shooting videos for your vlog that you want to look professional, follow these simple vlog tips to get a good video:
1. Plan – Such as what you want to say and do in the video.
2. Shoot – Shoot the video, good quality and sound is a must! Use a good vlogging camera.
3. Edit – Edit your video adding or removing whatever you like.
4. Compress – This can be optional, but should be done if your video files are large.
5. Upload & distribute – Upload your videos to your vlog, and sites like Youtube with a link back to your vlog.
Follow those simple vlog steps to get a great video, but remember that you can vlog about anything! Make sure you pick a topic you enjoy, or you could even do a vlog that features a little bit of everything, it is completely up to you.
Always Note! Remember that you will need to add a little bit of text to your vlog for search engines to index, this is because search engines can only index and read text, not a video. Be sure to always add tags and a small description to your vlog posts to be sure that you receive traffic from search engines (such as Google).
