Backlinks To Your Site – Where To Get Backlinks

The hardest part of making a site may very well be getting backlinks to your site. So I have decided to make a short post on how and where to get great backlinks quickly and easily. You may have read several longer articles so I will try to keep this one short and sweet and cut straight to the point because if you are here you more than likely already know what a backlink is (the name speaks for itself). So here are some effective ways to backlink off the top of my head.

Where to get backlinks:

1) Forum Posts: There are countless forums out there that you can easily take advantage of, put your link with a keyword anchor text in your signature.

2) Articles: Write several articles that relate to your site and add your link with keyword anchor text in the author’s bio box. Actually is a great way to get backlinks.

3) Social Bookmarking: Social bookmarking can very well be the best ways to get backlinks because of their popularity and search engines love them. After you write a post submit it to one of the many social bookmarking sites. A few are Digg, Delicious, Yahoo Buzz, Reddit and Slashdot.

4) Blog Comments: When commenting on a blog, leave a good meaningful comment but put a keyword as your name then enter in your websites url in the website box. People will then click your keyword and will be taken to your site.

5) Build a Free Blog: Building your own free blog then adding links from it to your site is also a good way to get more backlinks to your site. Squidoo is also another great site to create free web pages that are quickly indexed by google.

6) Put Your Website Address Everywhere You Put Your Name: Promoting your website by putting your sites address everywhere you put your name will drive backlinks and traffic to your site. Just place the address everwhere you can.

Never underestimate the importance of backlinks, they are today’s traffic generators and will make search engines index you and let you rank high.
