There is an uncountable number of blogs out there today; blogs that range from personal blogs to corporate blogs whichever blogging road you take you may want to monetize your blog. Maybe you could use the money to just cover hosting expenses? Or maybe even you would want to take the high road and make a full time income on your blog (Which thousands of people do) but you aren’t sure which is the best way to go about monetizing your blog. Well there are several different ways you can make some cash through your blog, I will give you my top ways that have worked for me to make money off your blog, most of which are free.Make money sign

1) Pay-Per-Click Advertising – I have picked this method as one of the best ways to make money off your blog because it is so simple to use. One of the many Pay-Per-Click companies and the most popular is Google Adsense. Now Adsense is very easy to use because all you need to do is sign up for a free account, enter in how you would like your ads to look like, then copy & paste the code onto your site and BAM you got a simple way to make money. You get paid a few cents to a few dollars PER click. So if you have a blog that gets high traffic Pay-Per-Click will do very well because your visitors will want to click on the ads in turn making you money. Also the Adsense ads will automatically display ads similar to the content on the site.

2) Affiliate Marketing (Recurring And Non-Recurring Products) – The only reason this method is not first is because it takes a little more work, understanding and marketing than Pay-Per-Click. This is because it is not Pay-Per-Click it is called Pay-Per-Sale. This means that you get paid 75% commission when someone makes a sale of the product from you. The best part about affiliate marketing is you don’t have to deal with the product or products shipping and things like that at all, it is all handled by the vendor you just direct visitors to his site to purchase it, then you receive around 75% of the price most of the time as commission. This is a great method because you get a large cut of the income from that sale. If you were wondering what recurring and non-recurring products are, recurring products also have a monthly purchase fee to keep their membership/subscription to the product, so each month you will receive a commission for that sale. Non-recurring is when a product just gives you a onetime commission for that sale because the product does not require more than one payment.

I would suggest you get into affiliate marketing in order to make a successful online business because it has such a high success rate and you are easily able to direct people from your blog to the product making it easy to sell products that are related to the topic of your blog.

3) Renting Out Ad Space On Your Blog – This is mainly you renting out ad space on your blog to people who want it. This is a great way to make money with your blog because you receive all the profit. This is selling a small space on your sidebar or anywhere else on your blog to a private sponsor who wants to advertise in that space. You will then charge him a fee for using that space, the best way is to charge him a fixed amount per month. You could rent out any sized space and any kind of ad you wanted, whether it be a banner ad or a text ad (more popular at the moment). This is a great way to make a large amount of cash off your blog quickly and effectively.

4) Consulting Services – This is another way that you could make money off your blog using a talent or topic you know lots about and turn it into a money making business off your blog. For example if you knew lots about writing skills, you could offer a consulting service to people who want to know more about writing skills and you would charge them an hourly fee for your service. It’s a pretty simple concept that everyone can do pretty easily.

5) Donations – Last but not least is by far the simplest but yet not very many people think of it. Donations are a great way to make a little bit of money of your blog especially if you provide good content and service. All you need to do is place a Donate button somewhere on your blog and if people really like your content they will more than likely give you a small donation. Paypal is a great program to use for donation buttons.

Conclusion: So really it isn’t hard to monetize your blog because of the number of ways you can do it. They all work very well you just need to set them up and get them going, maybe start with Pay-Per-Click and move up the list or whatever your heart desires to do.
